The story behind this meme
A man sits at a small table on a college campus, a sign before him reading "change my mind." The setup comes from a real 2018 web-series stunt, and the internet quickly swapped the sign for every opinion ever held. The two boxes split the action: the bold claim on the table, and the reaction of anyone who sits down to argue. Its charm is confidence — the seated figure believes, correctly or not, that debate is welcome. Use it for hill-to-die-on opinions about food, sleep schedules, and the correct way to load a dishwasher.

Classroom-safe & how teachers use it
The picture is just a table, a sign, and a chair — nothing sensitive. It is practically designed for classrooms: students write a defensible claim on the sign, then classmates rotate through respectful counterarguments. Debate, persuasive writing, and civil disagreement all get a friendly face. Even shy students will sit down for a two-minute turn.
