The story behind this meme
The single-panel edition of the famous financial parody strips the joke to its bones: one suited gray figure, one chart, and the misspelled word stonks floating overhead like a blessing. No comparison, no story, just pure unearned confidence in chart form. The one caption line names the brilliant move or the bold analysis. It works for any decision made with total certainty and zero information, which is a bigger category than anyone will comfortably admit. The arrow, as always, points wherever you need it to.

- Gaming: Traded my rare sword for a shiny hat
- School life: Studied page one, feeling like a scholar
Classroom-safe & how teachers use it
A gray figure and a chart are safe, though the finance humor suits older students. Economics teachers can use it to open lessons on risk, speculation, and market bubbles, asking what the chart leaves out. Students can caption it with real financial decisions from history and evaluate the confidence behind them. It pairs well with graph-reading practice.
