The story behind this meme
Mourners gather, heads bowed, while one attendee whispers something catastrophically wrong at the worst possible moment. The funeral illustration powers jokes about timing: the joke that lands in silence, the phone that rings in tribute, the eulogy that mentions the wrong hobby. Two boxes split the solemnity: what should be said and what was actually said. The humor stays gentle because the targets are habits, not the departed — snooze buttons, group chats, expired snacks. Awkwardness takes the lead role, which is how the living cope.

Classroom-safe & how teachers use it
Death imagery means teachers should gauge their audience; older classes handle it easily as metaphor for expired things. Media literacy classes can discuss dark humor and its limits.
