The story behind this meme
A documentary series about ancient mysteries featured a guest with unforgettable hair who loved crediting everything to space visitors. One expressive screenshot turned him into the internet's patron saint of wild theories. The format runs on two lines: the cautious setup, where he is not saying it was aliens, and the punchline, where it was definitely aliens. The joke works because it mimics real reasoning that skips evidence entirely. Use it whenever someone jumps to the most dramatic possible explanation for an ordinary mystery.

Classroom-safe & how teachers use it
The image is harmless, though the topic touches pseudoscience, which is exactly what makes it useful. Teachers can present it during lessons on evidence and source quality, letting students spot the leap in logic. In history class, students can rewrite the template with a real documented explanation to contrast facts with speculation. It also sparks fun discussions about why dramatic theories spread faster than boring ones.
