The story behind this meme
From a 1970 episode of a legendary British sketch show comes the most reliable surprise entrance in comedy history. Whenever characters declare that nobody expects a certain thing, three red-robed figures burst through the door to deliver exactly that thing, repeatedly, with increasing volume. The template preserves the loop: the top box establishes the calm expectation of normal life, and the bottom box is the sudden arrival nobody saw coming. It fits surprise quizzes, sudden group projects, and every plot twist that arrived with organ music. The joke has survived fifty years because surprise never goes out of style.
