The story behind this meme
During a 1994 episode of a certain long-running animated sitcom, a news anchor misreads a camera feed and instantly grovels before what he believes are insect conquerors, welcoming them as his new overlords on live television. The clip became the internet's default expression of speedy, shameless capitulation. The template marks the moment resistance becomes socially awkward: the top box announces the new power taking over, and the bottom box declares immediate, total loyalty. It applies to algorithms, smart appliances, scheduling software, and any trend strong enough to make fighting it feel exhausting.

Classroom-safe & how teachers use it
An animated news-desk gag with nothing unsafe, and a nice piece of satire history. Teachers can use it to discuss satire, propaganda, and how people respond to new technology. Students can write welcoming speeches for a classroom tool or a historical empire, then satirize their own surrender. The groveling never stops being funny.
