The story behind this meme
Hockey fans know this face well. The photo freezes longtime hockey executive Brian Burke mid-phone-call, wearing the exact expression of a man receiving news he cannot control and cannot repeat. It traveled from sports internet to general meme use in the late 2010s as the universal portrait of hearing bad news professionally. The formula is a two-line phone call: the top line is the caller's bombshell, and the bottom line is the face's silent translation of it. Use it for schedule changes, price increases, and every message that starts with 'quick question.' The suit makes everything funnier, because whatever the news is, business continues.

- Study mode: 'The exam covers everything since August' / The face has seen the final boss
Classroom-safe & how teachers use it
A man in a suit on the phone is completely safe content. Teachers use it for active-listening practice: one student delivers news, another shows the reaction. Business classes discuss staying professional under pressure, and everyone captions it with the worst 'quick question' they can imagine. Sports marketing units can trace its journey from broadcast to meme.
